New Walkings company
Passionate about new urban mobility, Christophe Lefevre “fell in love” with a mini urban Segway (or wheel equipped with an electric motor) at the CES in Las Vegas in 2014. he quit his job as a buyer in mass distribution, and launched his own company that same year, New Walkings, in Villeneuve d’Ascq, in order to distribute it in France.
If he did not succeed in flooding the market with this first “niche” product, he quickly extended his catalog to more mainstream vehicles, electric scooters, the demand for which has exploded in France in recent years.
Partner of the most fashionable manufacturers, all Chinese, New Walkings targets an audience of connoisseurs, ready to invest in their equipment. “We do not sell toys, but mobility devices. We offer products ranging from mid to high-end, ideal for getting around town. We also have a selection of gyroroues, and more sporty scooters, for enthusiasts who wish to evolve.
Mechanics and websites
New Walkings is the exclusive sales representative for France of five brands offering a very wide range of electric vehicles (Inmotion, Wiizzee, Kingsong, Hiley, Teverun), but also sells a lot in Belgium and Luxembourg.
TUTORIALS IN SIX LANGUAGES
The main job of Christophe Lefevre and his teams is to create visibility on the French and European market for these brands, and make them accessible to potential customers, whether large retailers or individuals. All sales are done online. Half of the company’s employees work in the field of animation of the websites and social networks. “We must support demand, which is growing every day, and meet the expectations of users, even if they are not directly our customers,” continues Christophe Lefevre. This is how the websites and social networks run by New Walkings for each of the five brands distributed (and all in six languages please) are now enriched with “tutorials” allowing users to repair or maintain their scooter. “We also sell parts that are in stock in our workshops, but our real added value is the service and support that we can offer. »
